About us

Lextra Pty Ltd is a research-driven company based in Queensland, Australia. The company focuses on the conversion of plastic and agricultural waste streams into higher-value materials, with a particular emphasis on resins, adhesives, and foams derived from crude bio-oils. Lextra aims to support the transition toward more sustainable and bio-based material systems by developing applications that incorporate renewable feedstocks into advanced products.

In collaborative R&D settings, Lextra provides technical expertise in the formulation and production of foams, particularly polyurethane (PUR) foams. In current projects, Lextra works alongside academic partners such as QUT, which undertakes the modification, fractionation, and characterisation of crude oils (e.g. provided by Licella) prior to foam synthesis. This collaboration supports the development of regionally adapted, bio-based polymer solutions for industrial use in Australia.
